Comments:
The "Gathering" will be held on Friday evening, October 10, at 7:00pm in the Fellowship Hall. But come early and visit. From 6:00 to 6:45 sandwiches and soft drinks will be available for purchase, and some Society merchandise will be for sale.
Jury duty and a broken ankle have played havoc with the speaker panel we announced in last month’s Chimes. But not to worry, we have two fine speakers set to entertain and inform you. Don Bailey will review the early history of Cliffside’s churches. In a lighter vein, Ben Honeycutt will engage you with memories of his childhood years on South Main Street. And he’ll tell about his grandfather Leon Sorgee’s Cliffside Cafe, downstairs in the Memorial Building.

Comments: This website continues to serve as a fabulous reminder of my childhood, and I am planning a trip to visit with family and friends on the weekend of Cliffside Day. I would like to include the night before as well, but I have not seen a designated meeting spot for the speakers. Is a reservation required, and where is it being held?
Thanks,

Comments: James Larkin Pritchard is the great grandfather of Janice Pritchard. He was married to Della Kansas Scruggs.
We are coming to remember cliffside 2008 10-11. Does anyone remember the Pritchards/Scruggs who lived in Henrietta?

Comments: Very nice site. Though I didn't grow up in Cliffside, I visted my grandparents who did, nearly every weekend. Really miss those days.

Comments: R.R. Haynes was my great-great-grandfather; Florence Jenkins was my great-grandmother. Correct me if you can, but I believe I am the youngest person who appears in the family tree in the back of "the little red book."
I've been a journalist for 27 years. I want to find the living people named in the family tree, learn a bit of their lives and the descendants of our family from the book's publishing date until today.
If you are one of these people or if you know where I can contact them, drop me a line at lizearly@hotmail.com with RR Haynes in the subject line.
Thank you in advance for any information you send my way.
Bless you Reno. I'm saving for the fund.
