Comments: I'm an amateur photographer and my favorite subjects are the old textile mills. You can see some of my work at...
http://glassmask.net/deb/mills.html
I've got 8 mills on the page and 3 more mills photographed and need to prepare them so their pages can be added to the site. I'm always interested in learning more about the mills and the people who worked them, so I've been reading your site for news. Great work! I'm really looking forward to getting to your area in the near future and photographing your mill. Oh, and I've listed your webpage in my links because it's so well done and informational.

Comments: Hello, I just find this website and just wanted to let you know that my grandparents lived in Cliffside. They lived on that road that Duke Power has taken over now. Most of my mom's people lived on that road. Looking at some of the pictures, I seen Edith, and Miss Lily as we were taught to call her.My grand parents lived where that small pond was at, and I think their was a little store in front of there house.Their names were Clay and Edisto Hawkins. they had 2 chilren Carolyn and Bobby Gene. My grandparents are buried at Lavoina Church. I was small when my grandmother passed away, and small when my mom passed away, If you happen to have any pictures of my grandparents home I would apperciate it very much.
Thank you
