Comments: One of my cousin's Steve Mott told me about
'Remember Cliffside', and that my mother's school picture was on it.
My mother's picture is on the School Groups 2 Cliffside 7th Grade 1937-38.
It was good for me to be able to see a picture of my mother 'Virginia Mott' this is the only picture I have ever seen of her.
I thank the Historical Society for the hard work that was put into this project.

Comments: I only recently started looking up my "past" and can't hardly believe my good fortune finding this site! Listed in the Census for 1930 is my Great-grandmother Elmeda Piercy! who lived on Boiling Springs Road. My mother is gone now as is most of my family who could share information but finding this site has really been helpful. I have not included any pictures at this time but if anyone reading this is interested I can scan pictures and put them with another comment. My mother's name was Sadie (Piercy) Canady. She married Buster Canady. His mother's family name was Hill.

Comments: Hi, As always, I love this website and all the interesting articles. (I grew up at "rabbit town" in Henrietta, across from Dr Lovelace home). I would like to point out the October photo is not a 1940 Ford. It is an American Austin, also known as an Austin Bantam. This particular one is the roadster which has a fold down windshield. Thanks very much. Richard Mauney, Mooresville NC

Comments: I just discovered this site about an hour ago. I was born on Green Street in 1939 (#7 I think). My parents were Bernice and Herman Webb, worked at the mill. My grandparents were Julius and Mae Webb who lived at #30 Reservoir Street. Pidgeon "Pidge" Pearson was my great grandfather. Willis J. Webb and Gilbert Webb were my great and great, great grandfathers.Looking for ancestors.
