This is a great web site. I especially enjoy it because I grew up there, so I have wonderful memories of the place. Bonnie Mintz Hines is my good friend and she sent me info on the web site.
I want to bring attention to the Photo of the Month
Jan 2008, "Snowy Suburb". Buz Biggerstaff, who was my classmate, is correct about the name and location of the picture. The last house on the left is where I was borned. I lived there until I was 11 yrs old. My Grandmother raised me: her name was Mallie Daves Blackburn and she worked in the mill for approx. 40 yrs. She was a sister to Retta Bridges, who was Paul Bridges's Mother.
Roy Green and family lived in the house to the left on the bank and Grover Gosey lived across from him near the sign. At the top of the hill there was a dry goods store, and I believe Harolyn Sparks father owned it. Also beside the sign there was a path that led through the woods to Island Ford Road, then called Bunker Hill.

How wonderful to remember "when". Thanks for all of the hardwork and news. Special thanks to Marc Dedmond and Greta Loeber, my cousins for alerting me to this site.
It has been wonderful seeing pictures of my youthful Mother, now deceased, Ola Mae Price Cash.
Take care and God bless you all.

It is always great to open up the web site and see new entries in the Guest Book. But I think we can do better. Come on!! Chase High Class of 1962. Where are you? Remember our cheer at the basketball games? You know. The one that made the teachers and principal wince when they heard it. "Rip'em up, tear'em up. Give'em hell Trojans!!" Where is that spirit? Post entries in the Guest Book. Join the Cliffside Historical Society. Sponser the web site. Get involved!! We have lost some of our best friends, but the future is in front of us. I want to see all of you at our 50th reunion in 2012.

I was honored to have had the wonderful oppertunity to have served as minister of Cliffside United Methodist Church from 1999-2003. I loved every second that I was there in that community. The people of Cliffside are some of the most wonderful people that I have ever met. The folks at Cliffside UMC are the best people in the world. Ginny Anne and Ashley Reid and their son Allen and his family were like my family while I was there. Kim and Keith and Lefty and Mary Edna, Hazel, the Swings, the Housers, Joe and Ruth, the Tinklers, Carolyn Waters, Rev and Mrs. Steele, The Hamricks, Johnny and Louise, the Hills, the tates, The Humphreys, Otis Greene and his family, Phlip White, and all the other wonderful people that are a part of Cliffside made my 4 years in the community the best fours years of my life. I can not forget the Hawkins family and how wonderful they were to my family. So many names that I know I have not listed and to them it is not meant to be out of meaness it is simply that there are so many wonderful people that it would take me the next 5 days to list all of you. I miss being a part of Cliffside and I think of all of you often. Thank you to the community of Cliffside and especially to the wonderful folks of Cliffside UMC for four years of the greatest times in my life. I will always remember each and everyone of you. I love you all and miss each of you dearly.
Peace and Joy,
Rev. Anthony Moore
