Comments: I grew up in Forest City ( born 1946) but had many friends in Cliffside. I went to Myrtle Beach with them during July 4th week. What a great time to grow up! Those small town values served our generation just fine.

Comments: I'm surprised at the condition Libby Owens described about the Cliffside cemetery. I will be happy to contribute to the upkeep if someone will tell me where to send the contribution! Libby, I am the son of Hollis and Jessie Owens and lived in Avondale! My mother and father are buried in the cemetery!! Blessings, Andy Owens Are you a relative?

Comments: Today is memorial day and like many people I visited a cemetery to put on flowers for relatives. We had been told to wait and place our flowers as weed eating would be done prior to today. What a disgrace. Those of u who put flowers there may see that u cannot see them underneath all of the weeds grass and dandelions. I left my weed eater at home thinking it would be clean at least on this day. Continual care? How about no care. Raleigh Haynes site is still a mess. Does no one care? At least his relatives must . Is there no money in the fund to restore it? We have a right to know how the money is being used. Some weeds were taller than the headstones among them so this has not been checked in weeks. I guess we will be responsible for our own sites and I hope raleighs relatives will join together to restoe his site . My husband and I have tried to move the concrete pots but they r just too heavy. All relatives that care please respond.

Comments: My grandmother was from there. She was cook at the elementary school for many years. She was a very special lady and we miss her. My dad is Elbert Munsey and my Mother is Macy Harris. They both live in Cliffside.
