Comments: What a wonderful website! I visited Cliffside every Memorial Day when I was a child. My Papa was George "Diver" White, one of 13 children of Mettie Martha Abernathy and Sydney Holloway White. I'm thankful for all the hard work that went in to this site and enjoy the feeling of being connected from so far away! (NH)

Comments: My Father, Roy Little Christy, died on February 29 of this year. He was 90. He was the son of Betty and Charles Christy, lifelong residents of Cliffside. He had a wonderful childhood (and young adulthood) growing up in Cliffside. I have very fond memories of visiting my Grandparents, and my dear Aunt, Virginia Christy. His obituary is still available at charlotteobserver.com.

Comments: I would like to get in contact with anyone who might have known the Daniel's who lived up Hwy 221 toward Rutherfordton. My grandfather was Leonard N. Daniel. He had a store across from his house. The area was referred to as Daniel Town. My passed away last September and she know about the Cliffside Community. When I was about 8 years old I rode behind Engine #110 when it was down at Echo Valley in Cleveland, SC near where I grew up.

Comments: I am looking for information on Dee Christopher Cole (1890-1974), who worked for the Cliffside Mills Store in the 1910s/20s and was a member of local bands and quartets. In the late '20s he sang with the Spindale Quartet and made phonograph records. These are going be made available again on CD, and I should be glad to hear from any family member or friend who might be able to give me information on Mr Cole or the Spindale Quartet.

Comments: It was nice being able to see stories about my great grandfather Dr. G.O Moss, he seemed to have led a very interesting life.
