I found the link to this site while searching for an old friend of mine, Jack H. Huskey and have throughly enjoyed browsing the site.This is a great site.....kudos to all the folks responsible! Although not from Cliffside I do have some distant relatives connected to the area. My Mother, Thelma Pauline Price, was born, 1929, in Campobello but as a small child moved with the family during the great depression finally settling in the York area. We currently live in the Tirzah community near York. Many of my "Price family" great Aunts and Uncles and families do live in the Cliffside area. The connected families are,Price,Radford,Padgett and Jolley and there may be others that I'm unfortunately unaware of.
I did locate a brief article and photo of Jack in 2007 and found phone numbers but couldn't connect. Hopefully he is doing well.

I live in Floyd Jenkins old house and my husband has a shop in Mr. Jenkins old store on Boiling Springs Hwy. There is an old building on our property that was said to have been a beer joint in the 1940's. We would like to have a picture of the beer joint in it's early years. The building is still standing and Don is trying to decide if he wants to restore it. If anyone has a photo of this please contact me. Thanks

I was from Cliffside. My father, George Keith Hamrick was born and bread here and it was and is now his home. There isn't a moment that does not go by that I do not think of him. He is burred in the cemetery and it has been years since I have been there. I am crying right now because I greatly miss him. If anyone can go out there and take pictures of where he is.. can you please send them to me.. let me know he is okay? It is hard for me to go there myself... its hard for me to think of his like this.. but I would really like to check up on him.
My names is Jessica Hamrick. I am his oldest daughter. I miss my Carolina family more and more each day and I want to come home soon.
